LinkReader for Mac and iPhone

Add an article with the + button, the macOS Services menu (right-click any link), the Share Extension, or the Safari extension. LinkReader fetches the article text and converts it to audio using the text-to-speech provider set in Settings.
Settings lets you pick between three providers:
Articles, audio, and notes sync automatically through your own private iCloud account. Make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account on both devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled. New articles can take a few moments to appear on your other device.
Connect your iPhone to CarPlay and LinkReader appears automatically. Browse your article list and play hands-free — flag a moment while driving with a single tap, and it's waiting for you as a note when you're back on your phone.
While listening, tap the flag button to pin a note to that exact moment — type it or record a voice note, which is transcribed automatically on-device. Tap any note later to jump straight back to that point in the audio.
Check the Failed tab. Some pages block automated readers or require a login, which can prevent LinkReader from extracting the article text. Right-click (or long-press) a failed article to reprocess it.
