Privacy Policy

WordSpark is built by Atelier du Toit to help children practice reading sight words. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

What we collect

WordSpark does not operate any servers, does not have accounts or logins, and does not know who you are.

• Reading progress — which words have been marked as tricky, and how often a word has been reviewed. This is stored using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under the Apple ID already signed into your device, so it can sync between your own devices. It is private to that Apple ID — we cannot see it, and it is never sent to us or to any server we operate.
• Word packs — the sight-word content (words and audio) ships inside the app itself. No pack content is downloaded from or uploaded to any server while you use the app.
• Purchases — additional word packs are purchased through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card, billing information, or Apple ID.

What we do not collect

• No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
• No advertising SDKs.
• No accounts, profiles, chat, or any way to enter or share personal information within the app.
• We do not sell, share, or transmit data to third parties.

Children's use

WordSpark is designed for young children to use, typically with a parent or guardian nearby. The app has no chat, messaging, social features, or any way for a child to enter or share personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Third-party services

WordSpark uses Apple's CloudKit for private, per-account syncing of reading progress, and Apple's StoreKit for handling purchases. Both are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
